Caring for your products:-

Caring for your products through careful laundering will maintain their quality, softness and colour and increase their lifespan.

Washing your Product:

To maintain the softness of your product always follow the washing instructions on the label. Too little detergent allows the mineral salts from the water supply to deposit back into the fibres during rinsing, this can cause the fibre to feel hard and course to the touch.

Drying your product:

To achieve a softer Feel, tumble or line dry after washing. It is possible to over dry the product by drying on too high temperature for too long. Even line drying on a hot day can cause over drying. Over drying will remove the moisture that is naturally present in the fabric, causing it to feel harsh or rough, and it may cause the fabric to become brittle and shorten the lifespan of the product.

Fading Colours:

Some washing powders contain Optical Brightening Agents (OBAs). These are designed to reflect light and keep your whites looking bright. However, on pastel shades such as cream or pink, they will give the product a faded, washed-out appearance. Wash your coloured product in a detergent that does not contain OBAs or bleach, or is specifically designed coloued washes.

Uneven Fading / Patchy Colour:

This can occur if detergent comes in to direct contact with the product. Do not pour liquid soaps directly onto your product. Some household products such as toilet cleaners, or beauty products such as blemish treatments, can bleach or cause colour changes to a product. If your hands are not rinsed well before drying them there may be a transfer of chemical onto the towel. This will not show until the towel is washed. If you are not aware that your product has come into contact any of the above mentioned, gently wash the product in cold water before laundering.

Loss of Absorbency:

Frequent washing with fabric conditioners can reduce the absorbency of towels, by building up a fine water-resistant layer on the fibres. Please follow the manufacturer's instructions when using fabric softeners. If your towels do not absorb water quickly as when they were first bought, wash them a couple of times without fabric softeners.

Removing Stains:

Make-up: Soak in warm soapy water solution then wash directed.
Blood: Soak in cold, salty water. Keep changing the water until is clear. Wash in the usual way.

Pulled Loops:

Because of the nature of the weaving of a looped towel, it is safe to cut off a pulled loop. If you see a pulled loop in your towel, just snip the loop off with a pair if sharp scissors. This will not occur cause any other runs in the towel.

Linting:

It is normal for all new towels and some sheeting to display some signs of linting. In the unlikely event that your product have excessive linting, wash then two or three times to remove the surface the lint / fluff. Tumble drying also assist in removing surface lint. Tumble dry dark colours separately.
